Things to Do in Salem
Just ten minutes down the road from our house, there is no shortage of stuff to do in Salem! Witch tours and spooky things are all the rage, but if you ask us, there’s plenty of other fun activities to do in our wonderful city.
Gina’s Favorites
-
A small pub tucked away for those who want to avoid the chaos of the main strip while still being in arms reach of the hotel. Fun cocktails, live music, probably haunted.
-
Huge loft full of local art and vintage goods that you do not need but will absolutely love. Will said I need to cut back on my trinkets so do me a favor and get yourself something on my behalf.
-
The most visually pleasing restaurant in Salem. This space was repurposed from a 19th century savings bank and held onto many of the artifacts. Outstanding menu.
-
Probably a weird choice for a summer wedding weekend but this is my absolute favorite place to watch films. There’s three screens but one is always dedicated to playing throwbacks. The cinema lives in this creepy half abandoned mall which really elevates the nighttime scary movie experience.

I’m uninterested in hearing you New Yorkers complain about the bagels here. This place is great. Someone grab me a salt bagel and iced cappuccino on June 29th.

This comic store is located in the heart of Salem and is filled to the brim with all sorts of nerdy collectibles.

NEW YORKERS, TRUST ME. IT’S LEGIT. Tasty and fresh pizza on Pickering Warf (located right behind the hotel). Pies take a second to get made - RELAX, IT’S FRESH.
-
Seafood (and more) restaurant also located in Pickering Wharf. It’s got the Ginny and Bill Guy stamp of approval, so you know it’s legit. Get the mussels Fra Diavolo, thank me later
-
Taaaaaasty over the top cookies. They’re kind of hipster and chic and don’t announce the cookies until 5pm on the weekends (sooooooo chic), but they always hit.

Genuinely one of the only bars I actually enjoy going to. Old school games (arcade cabinets, pinball, guitar hero) all for a quarter! Some cute nerdy food options on the menu.
